The Warriors are coming off a split against the Penticton Vees, while the Smoke Eaters have been hot lately, going 6-4 in their last 10, while moving within 1 point of a playoff spot (with 3 games in hand on the Vernon Vipers)
In what is becoming a holiday tradition, this will be the 3rd consecutive year that the Warriors have visited Trail coming off the Christmas break. West Kelowna is 1-1 in those games, winning 4-3 in 2013/2014 and losing 7-3 last season.
Being around the rink for the first two practices post-break, the mood is light and it will be interesting to see how the focus comes back heading into the match-up against the Smoke Eaters. It's about to be a busy stretch for West Kelowna, as the Warriors will play 13 games in 33 days (including the Exhibition January 18th against Red Bull Salzburg)
