Last night, it was the Warriors six-goal second period that pushed them to a blowout win, as eight different Warriors scored in a 9-0 win (Kylar Hope had 2 goals).
It will be interesting to see what happens tonight, as the Smoke Eaters will be hungry to avenge the defeat, as well as a season of frustration against the Warriors. No word who Trail will start in goal, but West Kelowna has chased Bailey MacBurnie the last three meetings. Linden Marshall allowed five goals last night, but also made 25 saves, including a couple of really nice saves in the third period.
Matthew Greenfield picked up his second shutout of the season, making 27 saves. The Warriors penalty kill went 4 for 4 in front of him, plus shut things down in the third, allowing just 6 shots on goal.
Tonight, it will be Keelan Williams in goal, as he looks to build off wins in his last two starts against Chilliwack and Coquitlam.
The lineup remains the same, as Jake LeBrun remains scratched. Also, a special Happy 19th Birthday to Kristian Blumenschein.
