The season series has been very even, tied up at 2-2 with the Warriors picking up an overtime victory. While it never came down to it last year, the tie-breaker of "most points in games between tied teams" comes to mind, as the 'Backs currently have an edge there. For the Warriors to take home ice, West Kelowna will need to win both of these games vs. Salmon Arm, if these two happen to be tied after 58 games.
Each team will be without a key player in tonight's match-up, as Colton Thibault (who has 5 goals against West Kelowna this season) will not play due to a 2-game suspension after receiving a major for Goaltender Interference last night against Vernon, and Garrett Forster/Rylan Yaremko will not play tonight after leaving last nights matchup against Trail.
Speaking of last night, the Warriors were on the right side of a 9-4 score, while the Salmon Arm Silverbacks saw a 5-1 lead evaporate in a 7-goal second period by the Vernon Vipers, as the Vipers moved into fourth in the Interior with a 10-5 win. It's safe to say, the Silverbacks will be coming out hard in this one.
Pre-game show at 6:40 on www.mixlr.com/bchlwarriors and www.bchl.fasthockey.com. Intermission guests will be Orland Kurtenbach from Subway BCHL This Week, and a new Warriors recruit as well.
