This is the 3rd meeting of the season between these two interior division foes, with the Warriors coming away with both victories. The teams will see a lot of each other over the next 6 weeks, as they will play 5 times, including 3 in one week just before the end of the season.
It seems that it doesn't matter who plays for these two teams, it is always a battle, and the rough stuff is always present. Colton McCarthy will not be in the Vipers lineup tonight, as he serves game 2 of a 2-game suspension for a blow to the head major against Penticton last week.
In the goal, Andrew Shortridge has been nothing short of spectacular this season, although his Wins and Losses don't show that. Shortridge has a .916 save percentage, however he is scratched (unknown why) and Brendan Barry will appear in his 10th game of the year. Barry is 3-5, with a 4.53 GAA and a .865 SV %.
Matthew Greenfield will make his 6th start for the Warriors, as they play with 17 skaters up front, with Brett Mennear and Jake LeBrun out of the lineup.
