Tonight's opponent is in a playoff struggle, as the Trail Smoke Eaters are trying to track down Vernon for the final playoff spot over their last 12 games. The Warriors and Smoke Eaters will battle three more times over the rest of the season, as West Kelowna visits Trail for a double-header weekend on February 5th and 6th.
The Warriors will welcome a few new faces to the lineup tonight, as both Ryan Pereverzoff (Revelstoke KIJHL) and Braeden Tuck (Osoyoos KIJHL) will dress up front as AP's. Shane Farkas will back-up Matthew Greenfield in goal, as Keelan Williams is out with an illness.
West Kelowna will need to try and get their power play working, as they've dropped from 3rd to 5th in rankings over the last six games, going 3/31 over that stretch. The Penalty kill on the other hand has been alright over the last six, killing 28/35 (although Chilliwack went 3/7 on the PP Saturday night).
Kylar Hope scored his 20th goal of the season on Saturday, and other milestones will be reached tonight as well, as Kyle Marino and Jonathan Desbiens play in game #100 of their BCHL careers.
On Saturday night, Brett Mennear played in game #150, while Rylan Yarekmo played his 100th BCHL game as well against Chilliwack.
